The band played for both the crowds and over 12 thousand runners at the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 21st March. The weather was excellent (especially compared to last year!) and everyone had a great day. We even got a picture on the BBC Berkshire website!

Happy New Year to you all!

The band has had a fantastic 2009 and we hope to continue with our growing success in 2010! Our Christmas CD was a hit amongst our friends, families and audiences and we sold a fantastic 142 CDs! We will continue to have them available at our concerts throughout the year.

Our carolling at Morrisons on the weekend before Christmas was a great success. We raised valuable funds for the upkeep of the band and donated 100 pounds to the Morrisons charity-Cancer Research. We even had our picture taken for their magazine!

Our nominated charity over this coming year is The Duchess of Kent House. A former Chairman of the band was a resident there before he sadly passed away. The work which the charity does is truly invaluable and we always provide a small band at their Light up a Life Service which happened on 4th Dec this year. I am pleased to announce that at our Christmas Concert our charity raffle raised 134 pounds and Lorraine Rogers handed over the cheque at the ceremony.
