2010 NEWS !
Happy New Year to you all !
The band had a fantastic 2009 and hope to continue with our growing success ! Our Christmas CD was a hit amongst our friends, families and audiences and we sold a fantastic 142 CDs ! We will continue to have them available at our concerts throughout the year ! Our carolling at Morrisons on the weekend before Christmas was a great success. We raised valuable funds for the upkeep of the band and donated 100 pounds to the Morrisons charity-Cancer Research. We even had our picture taken to go in their magazine !
Concert Bookings for this year so far !
March 21st -Reading Half Marathon (The band will be playing from 10am outside the Town Hall, by the Queen Victoria statue, in Reading)
May 9th-Newbury Bandstand 3pm to 5pm (Victoria Park, Newbury)
May 15th-Woodley Town Centre 11am to 1pm ( In the market place)
July 3rd- Woodley Town Centre 11am to 1pm ( In the market place)
July 24th- Stoke Poges Horticultural Show 1pm to 4.30pm (Stoke Poges Primary School,Stoke Poges,Slough)
We will have a date in June or July at The Forbury Gardens, Reading and it is possible we will be holding a concert of our own in April. Watch this space !
If you are a player of any age looking at this page and wishing to try us out please do come along ! We are a friendly, welcoming , non-contesting band . We rehearse on a Thursday evenings at Prospect School(Berkshire Maestros), Cockney Hill, Reading. 7.45pm to 9.45pmWe currently have vacancies for trombone , horn or Bass players but anyone is welcome and the more the merrier! COME ALONG AND GIVE US A GO !!
